Gordon Sattro, Esq.

Senior Partner - Practice Areas are Entertainment & Business

I have a unique ability to manage multi-disciplinary projects and to navigate complex challenges

I’ve worn many hats in my career – line cook, lifeguard, car salesman, sales manager, actor, army officer, attorney, Director of Corporate Development and Strategy, and an executive at a Fortune 500 company. As a result, I have a unique ability to manage multi-disciplinary projects and to navigate complex challenges.

Entertainment Law

Gordon K. Sattro has been working in the entertainment industry since the early 2000's. Throughout this time, he has represented actors, directors, writers, producers, singers, songwriters, and DJs.

As a Senior Partner at Embry Dana Sattro LLP, and Senior Partner of EDS’s entertainment law practice, Mr. Sattro is able to provide a full suite of services to his entertainment clients. With his executive-level experience, he represents clients in transactions involving the development, financing, production, and distribution of home video, motion picture, television, music, and interactive entertainment projects.

Mr. Sattro understands first-hand the day-to-day operating challenges and therefore has an unparalleled expertise in taking a film to market or structuring a music licensing deal.

Corporate Law

As a former executive for a Fortune 500 company and a Director for Corporate Development and Strategy for another Fortune 500 company, Mr. Sattro honed the ability to impress people with his words and actions. By applying what he learned in the boardroom, he is service his client’s needs in a way many attorneys cannot, and hold the attention of the room when it is needed most.

Mr. Sattro has formed dozens of corporations, companies, partnerships, and non-profits, and has assisted them with their needs ranging from regulatory compliance to employment matters. As a active member of the Silicon Beach community, Mr. Sattro knows how to meet the needs of the start-up community and how to ensure that tech entrepreneurs can transition their business from and idea to an industry leader.

My actual experience over this past decade has taught me that my professional value boils down to the following:

  1. The greatest product you can hope to sell is yourself.
  2.   I am a multi-linguist of the entertainment, business, and legal world. I speak fluent attorney, executive, actor, producer, director,   politician, judge, and client. Understanding translates into fewer missteps, and missteps cost a fortune.
  3.   I don’t care who gets credit. I just want to win.
  4.   I have Big Ideas.
  5.   Lots of people have Big Ideas. It is not the idea, it’s the execution that matters. I am a master of execution.
  6.   If my left and right brain were hands, I’d be ambidextrous.
  7.   I’m the calm one.
  8.   I run into fires.
